PITTSBURGH — Distinguished divorce attorney and Pollock Begg Partner Candice L. Komar was elected to serve as secretary of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section at the PBA’s 2022 summer meeting in Newport, Rhode Island.
Active in the Family Law divisions of both her state and local bar associations throughout her career, Komar served as treasurer of PBA’s Family Law Section over the past year and is on track to become its chair in 2024. She has further worked to enrich the practice of law as a member of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Continuing Legal Education Board since 2019 and was elected to serve as the board’s vice president from 2022-24.
Both a certified mediator and a fierce litigator, Komar excels at divorces involving valuation of closely held businesses, complex custody and child support litigation and custody relocation. Known for successfully crafting legal strategies leveraging the interests of both parties, Komar was voted 2022 Pittsburgh “Lawyer of the Year” in Family Law Mediation through The Best Lawyers in America peer review process.
